Game Overview

Introduction
Dive into a dreamlike virtual reality art installation!
Every moment is infused with the blissful rush of dopamine.
The bliss of dopamine shall guides you through a unique and joyful visual and emotional journey.
Key features
Carousel
Players use virtual hands to grab and ride the carousel.

The carousel represents the brain's memory function. As the carousel spins, it evokes the sensation of a joyful, unfolding memory, symbolizing the playful and fluid nature of memory in our minds.
Food Carts
Follow the instructions on the virtual screen and touch the virtual buttons to select and make unique ice cream

The dining area represents dopamine’s reward system—indulging in delicious food (gelato, for me) brings pure joy and pleasure.
Bumper Cars
Drive bumper cars by grabbing and maneuvering the steering wheel directly

The bumper cars symbolize learning and cognitive function, representing the brain's trial-and-error process and the mental collisions that occur during independent thinking or social interaction.
Ferris Wheel
Grab and turn the virtual handle to speed up the Ferris wheel and launch fireworks

The Ferris wheel symbolizes emotional regulation, with each colorful cabin representing a different emotion (e.g., red for anger, blue for sadness, green for happiness). Its rotation mirrors the constant flow and change of emotions, with dopamine helping to keep the balance.
Art
# Constructing surreal aesthetics by tracing the common memories of modern people
Inspireations

The colors that remain in childhood memories are abstracted and summarized from the real world, and expanded to the entire space of the game world.
For the overall color scheme, I drew inspiration from the works of my favorite abstract artist, Wassily Kandinsky, the color combinations in his work are incredibly pleasing to the eye.
The skyline shape of the amusement park is a stark departure from the usual urban look, and this silhouette evokes emotion.
Emotional experiences are inherently abstract, often born from those indescribable, fleeting feelings. This concept reminds me of surrealism, where the intangible is brought to life in unexpected, imaginative ways, often evoking powerful emotions.

Design
The carousel’s traditional wooden horses were replaced with seahorses, inspired by the hippocampus, the brain's memory center.

The central column were adorned with seaweed-like textures, echoing the brain’s intricate patterns; while the golden spirals, reminiscent of DNA, added to the decor.

The Ferris wheel and Gelato cart are both inspired by desiring sweets. The colorful, ever-changing hues of the ice cream truck bring to mind the various toppings on a sundae, and the floating balloons evoke the sweetness of candy.
The Ferris wheel's base resembles an irresistible chocolate cake. I transformed the Ferris wheel's typical cabins into glowing, colorful balloons, with their flickering lights symbolizing the subtle ebb and flow of emotions.

In the design of the over all environments, I used soft pink grass that gives a sense of gentle warmth, along with plants that resemble deep-sea flora but closely resemble brain structures, decorating the scene throughout.

Around the amusement park, instead of walls, there are endless arrays of desserts, inspired by the Kingdom of Sugar Rush in Wreck-It Ralph.

Programming
# Provide interpretable code through decoupling and abstraction
Architecture Design

By designing the information interaction interface, I provide an interactive plug-in class that can be reused and expanded.
Objects that reference the Interact component class can interact through a general information format combined with physical relationships, making new interactive functions and objects more affordable to implement.
Mathematics on Engineering
In order to solve the problem of calculating the coordinates of rotating objects that move in virtual space under the control of the player's virtual hand, I designed a mathematical algorithm and implemented it through blueprints.
